On May 11,1993, the Association was accredited as an NGO in the City of Makati. As NGO, arrangement was made for the AMI to assist in the payment of licenses, fees and permits of members at no extra cost. Resource speakers from Bureau of Internal Revenue, Local Government, Social Security System and other government agencies are invited to update the members on new rules and regulations from said agencies.
Through the Sports Committee, the Association organized the first Golf Tournament in May 1994 at Fort Bonificio Golf Courses, the Inter-Color Bowling Tournament in September 1996 at Astrobowl Bowling Center and for the year 2000, the Basketball/Volleyball Tournaments were held at the Kolisiyum ng Makati, Washington Street, Makati City. These series of sports events participated in by the business community and the local government was aptly called the AMI Sportsfest 2000.

The main objective of this activity is to renew acquaintances and share business updates among members and provide the business community to enjoy sports and to contribute to their health and well-being.

We do believe the importance of sports in human body. God is interested on the whole person which includes a strong healthy body a better temple for the holy spirit as declared by the scripture (Corinthian 6:19).

So would you like to join our future sportsfest? If you say yes, the Association of Makati Industries, Inc. also do commit ourselves to you. We are even planning to add sports activities such as 5Km Fun Run, Table Tennis, Dart, etc. as we look forward to the new Millenium.
